Hello Lovelies! My name is Lily Sage, and I’m a New York City based Beauty and Lifestyle blogger at Sage Beauty Blog. I have been a makeup artist, skincare expert, and beauty educator for ten years. Because of my experience in the beauty industry, friends and family were always asking me for my best makeup tricks and skincare advice. So two years ago I started my blog, Sage Beauty Blog, because I wanted to share my passion and knowledge to help all women look and feel their most beautiful and their most confident.  I’m so excited to share some of my tips for pampering and nurturing your skin at the Lovely Happenings Fall Event. I can’t wait to meet you all.  In the meantime, check out my top five beauty tips for the fall!

1. The dark Fall lip is your new look.

A gorgeous dark lip is instant Fall glamour in a flash. This is a trend that is synonymous with cooler temperatures and Fall fashion.  If you have always wanted to try a dark lip for Fall but think that it might be too dramatic for you, don’t worry! There are different levels of intensity ranging from shimmering plums to deep matte burgundy shades. One of my favorite colors for day is Too Faced Melted Metal Liquid Lipstick in Melted Metallic Jelly. If you want a great option for a day to night look, Bette Noire Possessed Intense by Lipstick Queen is a must-have.  When you are rocking a dark lip look be sure to keep your eye makeup soft with neutral shadows and lots of mascara.

2. Great makeup begins and ends with great skin.

As the seasons change from summer to Fall, our skincare routine needs to change as well.  If you ever notice your foundation doesn’t last all day or your skin is having trouble deciding it is dry or oily then it’s time to revamp your daily skincare regimen. I love using Origins Checks and Balances Forth face wash for day and night. It gently cleanses without stripping away essential moisture and is great for normal to combination skin. It soothes the skin with lavender and bergamot.

3. Keep your Summer glow all year long

I love spending my summer at the beach, but I always have SPF in my beach bag.  In order to have that lovely summer glow all the time without the harmful rays I love using Park Avenue Princess bronzer  by Tarte and Betty-Lou Manizer by The Balm. Park Avenue Princess gives a warm bronze glow to the skin that works for all skintones. Betty-Lou Manizer is a multitasking product that can be used as an eyeshadow, a highlighter, and a bronzer.

4. A smokey eye is always in style

Creating a smokey is one the most common makeup questions I am asked as a professional beauty expert. The Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette makes it easy and fun.  The newest addition to the Naked collection allows you to create eye looks ranging from soft matte daytime looks to intense, sultry, and shimmery masterpieces.  The palette also comes with a double-ended brush and a lookbook with four unique looks that can be easily recreated.

5. Your hair is your crowning glory!

If you spent the summer in the pool, trying out a bold new hair color, or you love your curling iron with a passion the way I do, then your hair definitely needs some pampering to keep it gorgeous. The same way I nourish my skin with a weekly mask or treatment, I do the same for my hair. The Macadamia Professional Ultra Rich Moisture repairs your hair with argan oil and macadamia oil which combats breakage and infuses shine without weighing down your hair.
