Over the past two months, we have been figuring out how to navigate our day to day lives during this devastating pandemic. It is so easy to get caught up in the stress and fear of the unknown while caring for your children, working from home, or stepping out each day as an essential employee. We wanted to take this time to spotlight some of the organizations providing food, helping with medical efforts, and uplifting communities. Please join us if you can or simply spread awareness!

1. Feeding America

Feeding America is committed to serving communities and individuals facing hunger across America. Every dollar raised from their COVID-19 response fund will be used to get food and funds to local food banks across the U.S. You can even get in touch with your local food bank and volunteer virtually!

2. American Red Cross

The American Red Cross provides shelter, food, tools, emotional support, and supplies about 40% of our nation’s blood donations. You can support their COVID-19 efforts by donating, giving blood, or volunteering your time. This includes some remote volunteer options as well.

3. Direct Relief

Direct Relief is working to make sure that our health care workers fighting this virus on the front lines are provided with enough protective gear and essential medical supplies. You can donate or even start your own fundraiser with them!

4. New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund

NJPRF‘s goal is to stop the spread of the virus, support the healthcare community, provide help for the vulnerable, and rebuild New Jersey’s communities. They work to support organizations that provide essential services and aid those on the front line of the pandemic. One hundred percent of all online donations will go directly to help those in need.

5. Care Not Covid

Currently nursing home and assisted living residents are unable to visit with family members and friends. Don’t have the money to donate to other organizations right now? Care Not Covid allows you to record an uplifting video to send to your local nursing home or assisted living facility!
